The 9th Grade Quiz Bowl Team placed 1st in the AGQBA 4A Jr. High 4A Regionals Tournament at HSU in Arkadelphia, Ark. on February 3. They advanced to Finals in Conway on April 25, 2017. Area teams included: Malvern, Mena, Fountain Lake, Nashville, Ashdown, Goza Middle, and Arkadelphia High 9th. Patrick Hayes was MVP for the tournament and also made the All-tournament Team.
