With Sunday's storms, this week's game schedule will start out with a question mark or two, but we'll still post this weekly look ahead as is our normal procedure. Should there be changes to this, we'll continue to post changes as we get them on our website Live Feed as well as Facebook and Twitter.
The good news is that after Monday, the forecast looks good for the rest of the week, so hopefully we'll have minimal postponements as we come upon the last few weeks of the regular season for all sports before post-season play.
Monday will be the AHS soccer teams' first trips to Nashville to face the Scrapper soccer teams in the inaugural year for Nashville soccer. Arkadelphia will also be facing Bauxite for the first time as Bauxite and Nashville each are in their first seasons of fielding soccer teams.
The Lady Badger and Badger soccer teams will be fighting for post-season play and the details of who qualifies for the 4A-2 District Tournament and the format of the tournament will be announced as the conference makes decisions in the coming weeks. This is the first year that the soccer conferences have conducted a District Tournament, as mandated by the AAA blended conference model.
The last two weeks produced our AHS varsity spirit squads for the 2017-18 school year. We'll post those squads and congratulate them in the coming weeks. Our Goza Middle squads will be fielded over the next month. Good luck to all of the students trying out for those squads as well.
