AHS to Participate in ACT Timing Study

AHS Juniors to participate in an ACT timing study on December 3, 2019

submitted by Bud McMillion, AHS Instructional Facilitator

Save the date! Most Juniors at Arkadelphia High School will be participating in an ACT Timing study on December 3, 2019 from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. One hundred and three juniors have been selected to take the ACT under timed conditions. This is not an official ACT. Students will, however, gain experience in taking the ACT and they will receive a score report as well as a copy of the test that they can use to study for the test. It is worth noting that this ACT timing study will act as the first ACT that many of our students will take. When they take the official ACT test on March 10, 2020 it will be their SECOND ACT TEST. ACT data shows that repeat testers show an average ACT Composite score that is 2.9 points higher than single testers. We strongly believe that participating in this study will help our students score much better on their future ACT tests. Please make every effort to have our Juniors here on time on December 3rd. They will not be allowed to leave the test rooms during the test so it is best not to schedule appointments on December 3rd, 2019. Please contact Bud McMillion at bud.mcmillion@arkadelphiaschools.org if you have any questions about this event.
