It’s Homecoming Week at Arkadelphia High School and the week will be highlighted Friday night as the 5-1 Badger football team welcomes the 6-0 Mena Bearcats to AllCare Field at Badger Stadium. Both teams are in various spots in several 4A top 10 polls, meaning that Friday night’s game will feature one of the most intriguing matchups of the week in class 4A football.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. with Homecoming festivities slated to begin at 6:30.
The Badgers are coming off of a thrilling 48-42 2 overtime win at previously unbeaten Fountain Lake and will welcome a Mena Bearcat team that is at the top of the 4A-7 conference standings at 3-0 headed into the fourth week of the conference schedule.
Tickets to the game are $6 and Badger fans who want to beat the rush at the ticket window Friday night may buy tickets at the AllCare Field at Badger Stadium ticket window Thursday and Friday during the day.
Advance tickets will be sold Thursday from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. and then Friday from the end of the AHS Homecoming pep rally at approximately 10:30 until 1:30. Gates will open Friday night at 5:00 p.m.
Several classes will be having class reunions in conjunction with Homecoming week and those groups may purchase bulk tickets to pass out to their groups during one of these times if they wish.
Students in the Arkadelphia School District can take advantage of a few different ways to get discounted tickets. AHS students who show their current AHS ID and Goza students who wear their 2014-15 Goza t-shirt can get in for only $3. Perritt, Central and Peake students who are members of the Jr. Badger Club are admitted free with a paying adult by showing their Jr. Badger membership card.
