Arkadelphia basketball fans who are not able to make the trip to Bauxite Tuesday night can keep up with the games on ESPN WPS 106.9 FM in Arkadelphia and Southwest Arkansas. The games should also be available on the free ESPN Radio app on your mobile device by searching for “ESPN WPS” on the “Live Stations” tab on the ESPN Radio app.
The Badgers and Lady Badgers will be in Bauxite for the first of two trips this season as the 4A-7 District Tournament will be held at Bauxite High School in February.
Each Tuesday and Friday throughout the basketball season, AHS basketball fans can hear home and away games on ESPN WPS 106.9 FM and any post-season games will also be broadcast on the station as well.
Spring sports are just around the corner and ESPN WPS will also be the home to AHS baseball as has traditionally been the case, but ESPN WPS is expanding its coverage to some softball and soccer games as well.
“We’re excited that owner Mike Wilkins and general manager Andy Hodges are taking an interest in all of our teams throughout the school year,” said Arkadelphia Athletic Director Chris Babb. “We have many teams that deserve the coverage in addition to those sports like football, basketball and baseball that have traditionally had games on the radio.
“We hope our fans will appreciate what ESPN WPS is doing for our students and support the businesses that advertise and make these broadcasts possible.”
