We're still in post-season mode for most of our teams, but it's the final week of conference matches for AHS soccer as the 2016-17 season winds down.

THE BADGER BASEBALL TEAM PLAYS FOR the 4A-7 District Tournament Championship tonight at 6:30 vs. the Ashdown Panthers at Bauxite High School. The Badgers have already qualified for the 4A South Regional Tournament that begins Thursday in Monticello, but today's game will settle the seeds from the 4A-7. Arkadelphia defeated Nashville 8-6 in Thursday's semifinals. The Panthers reached the championship game with a 4-0 win over host Bauxite. Fans can listen to the game broadcast on Fox Sports Arkansas 106.9 FM in Arkadelphia and SW Arkansas. Thursday's 4A South Regional field and bracket will be set after tonight's games are completed in the 4A-7 tournament and the final day of the 4A-8 schedule.

TUESDAY, MEMBERS OF THE AHS TRACK & FIELD TEAM will head to Nashville for the 4A-7 State Track Meet. Sophomore Jasmine Gordon is eligible to compete in the 100, 200 and long jump. Junior pole vaulter Emilee Roberson will compete in the pole vault and senior Nigel White will compete in the discus. Good luck to all competing Tuesday in Nashville.

THE BADGER AND LADY BADGER SOCCER TEAMS will wrap up conference play this week with a road match at Centerpoint Tuesday and a makeup up home match with Central Arkansas Christian on Friday. The Lady Badgers are penciled in to the fourth seed from the 4A-2 for next week's state tournament. The boys' team is not currently in the top four which qualify for post-season play.

BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR INFORMATION ON THE ANNUAL FREE PHYSICAL EVENT which will be held next Tuesday, May 10, at Arkadelphia High School. We will be posting links to physical forms, letters to parents, etc. on this site as well early this week.
