The Arkadelphia High School basketball and football coaching staffs will be conducting summer camps for area youth in the month of July on the campus of Arkadelphia High School.
Next week, July 6-8, the AHS basketball coaching staffs will be reviving the "Stuff of Dreams" basketball camp that has been done in the past at AHS. The camp, to be held for students entering the 4th through 9th grades, will be split up into a girls session ans a boys' session.
The girls' session will be from 9:00 - 12:00 on July 6,7 and 8 and the boys' session will be from 1:00 - 4:00 on those same days. AHS basketball coaches and players will serve as the camp staff and campers will be instructed in fundamentals of the game and game situation.
Camp cost for the three-day camp is $60 which includes a camp t-shirt. A deposit of $30 is required with application and the remainder of the fee can be paid on the first day of camp.

On Friday, July 24, the Badger football staff will conduct the 2nd annual "Arkadelphia Honey Badger Football Camp" from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in Badger Fieldhouse and on AllCare Field at Badger Stadium on the AHS campus.
The camp is a non-contact camp for students entering 1st through 6th grades and will feature AHS coaches and players as camp instructors.
Campers will learn fundamentals of offensive, defensive and special teams facets of the game of football and will also hear discussion of character issues such as sportsmanship and honesty at the various stations of the camp.
Campers will have a Punt, Pass and Kick competition with other campers of their own age and will have non-contact football competition, relay races and an obstacle course along with snacks and plenty of water.
