Lots of home events this week, in particularly with the Lady Badger volleyball program and the first home games for the 8th and 9th grade football teams. It's also the debut of the 7th grade Badger football team, playing its first game Monday at Hot Springs.

THREE HOME MATCHES IN FOUR DAYS for the Lady Badger volleyball program after being on the road for two matches last week. AHS hosts Robinson, Haskell Harmony Grove and Malvern this week. The 7th grade will begin action Monday and Tuesday with intrasquad matches at 3:30 with the first match of each day following at 4:30. A change to the schedule for the Malvern matches from earlier schedules is that the 8th grade team will not play, and the 9th grade match will begin the night at 4:30.

IT WAS ANOTHER GOOD WEEK FOR ARKADELPHIA FOOTBALL as all three teams came out of the week with victories. The 8th grade Badgers earned their first win of the year with a 32-6 win over Hot Springs. The 9th grade Badgers made it two straight shutouts, moving to 2-0 with a 26-0 win over the Trojans and the varsity Badgers moved to 2-0 with a 38-28 win over the Sheridan Yellowjackets. Monday night, the 7th grade Badgers take the first time representing Arkadelphia with a 5:30 start time at Hot Springs.

THE BADGER GOLF TEAM got a medallist performance from Tyler Freeman and a match win to go with a second-place finish last week. The Badgers will play in town at Turtle Pointe on Monday and will travel to Malvern on Thursday then will prepare for next week's 4A-7 District Golf Tournament which AHS will host at DeGray.
