The Arkadelphia Badgers will head northeast to face the 5A Wynne Yellowjackets tonight in the final non-conference game of the season before 4A-7 play begins in two weeks.

After tonight's game, the Badgers will have an off week before opening the conference schedule at Nashville on September 21.

Tonight's game is the first of a two-year contract with Wynne, which will return the trip in 2019 and play the Badgers in Arkadelphia. This is the first matchup between the two schools since a matchup in the 5A State Playoffs in the late 1990s. The Yellowjackets opened the 2018 season last week with a home loss to the 6A Marion Patriots.

With the trip being such a long way away for a non-conference game and with the potential for rain, we know that several fans will only have the broadcast or social media as a way to keep up with the action tonight. Tonight's game will be streamed via audio only as we've been told that the cell connection that we will most likely have might not be strong enough to push a video signal out over the live stream link.

The setup was tested last night with an audio-only broadcast of the Badger junior high game at Lakeside and worked according to those who listened, so we're hoping for similar results tonight for the varsity game. If we have issues due to connectivity, we have a backup plan to be able to share for fans to be able to listen to the game.

Fans can listen to the game on www.arkadelphiabadgertv.com by clicking on broadcasts or via the Mascot Media app by searching for Arkadelphia on the "Search Schools" tab. We will record the video with the audio with the goal being to post the video and audio of the entire game online for fans to watch at their leisure. The image below will be displayed on the screen during the broadcast.

The game can also be heard on KDEL 100.9 FM for those in the Arkadelphia listening area. The radio station picks up the feed that comes from the website and is the same broadcast.

We appreciate your patience as we works out the kinks of our live stream efforts. In talking with other schools who use different services including Mascot Media, all have encountered some issues, particularly in their first efforts with live streaming. As we've learned, when streaming events, some issues can be on the production end, some can be on the hosting end and some can be on the user end and it's often times difficult to pinpoint the actual issues. We will continue to work with possibilities on our end to find the way to bring a good product to the viewers.
