- 26 Businesses/Industries set to attend
- Over 800 students from around SW Arkansas expected to attend two-day event

Arkadelphia High School will host the second annual Industry Fair for southwest Arkansas high schools Wednesday and Thursday, September 26 and 27, at the Clark County Fairgrounds.

The inaugural event last year was hosted on the AHS campus, but due to this year’s event being larger in scope and construction on the AHS campus, the venue was moved to the fairgrounds.

This year’s event will feature 26 different entities showcasing their opportunities to almost 800 students from around southwest Arkansas.

AHS Principal David Maxwell is pleased with both the increase in businesses and groups who will participate as well as the number of students who will attend in just the event’s second year.

“After talking with local industry about putting on an event like this for several years, we were glad to actually have the event last year,” said Maxwell. “This year we’re even more pleased with the growth that we’ve seen. We look forward to welcoming several high schools from around southwest Arkansas as they expose their students to the opportunities they have in front of them after graduation.”

High schools that will attend the Industry Fair include Arkadelphia, Centerpoint, Fordyce, Glen Rose, Gurdon, Hot Springs, Lake Hamilton, Mineral Springs, Mountain Pine, Sparkman and others.
