The EAST classes at Arkadelphia High School recently performed Acts of Kindness as part of the beginning service projects for the year.  Students formed groups, and within the groups they planned their Act of Kindness integrating some of the EAST technology within the projects.  Students chose educators, local charities, individuals, and local law enforcement to  show kindness and appreciation to.

Students had to do a presentation to their class after conducting the act.  Students shared who was the recipient of their AOK, what was their product, when and where did they perform the AOK, why did they choose this person/organization, how did the recipient react, and how did it make them feel as they performed the AOK?

One group made posters and flyers and collected funds to donate to the family of Hayden Spells, a 2017 graduate who recently passed away.  The students were able to present the family with over $200, along with the poster and fliers they made to promote the project.  Senior Waylon Cargile shared that "Hayden was my friend, and I wanted to do this in honor of him."
