We are ready to welcome our Badgers back!

Thanks to warmer temperatures and the hard work of the Clark County Road Crews and our district Maintenance and Transportation departments, the Arkadelphia Public School District will be in session on Tuesday, February 3rd.

Schedule: Regular start times for all buildings.

Transportation: All bus routes will run as scheduled.

Please continue to use caution in parking lots and walkways as some areas could possibly be slick. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday morning!

Thank you to our Badger family for your understanding and patience over the last week! While preparations have been made to have our campuses ready to return to school this week, ice and low temperatures continue to make many side roads unsafe for travel.

Because many of our bus routes and car riders rely on these secondary roads, we have determined that the Arkadelphia School District campuses will remain CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, February 2. While we considered a late start, buses would still need to travel during unsafe hours.

We do understand this may be an inconvenience for some, but the safety of our Arkadelphia families comes first.

📢 We anticipate warmer temperatures on Monday and will communicate updates for Tuesday’s schedule by Monday evening.

The Jr. High Basketball on Monday evening at Magnolia are still scheduled to be played.

Out of an abundance of caution, classes are cancelled, and the Arkadelphia School District will be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026. Unfortunately, many of our roads remain ice-covered and unsafe for student transportation.

We anticipate the sunshine to help improve road conditions as we plan to return to a regular schedule next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make decisions with the safety of our students and staff being the top priority.

According to our adopted 2025-26 school calendar, our make-up days will now be February 16, April 3, May 21, and May 22. We hope to see everyone soon!

Unfortunately, road conditions continue to be hazardous, and overnight temperatures will once again be below freezing. For the safety of our students and staff, the decision has been made that classes are cancelled and the Arkadelphia School District will be closed on Thursday, January 29, 2026. According to our adopted 2025-26 school calendar, our make-up days will now be February 16, April 3, and May 21, 2026.
We will continue to monitor road conditions for future announcements on returning to school and any necessary event make-up dates once they have been determined. Everyone, stay safe!

Our district administrators continue to confer with local officials regarding road conditions and forecasted temperatures. For the safety of our students and staff, the decision has been made that classes are cancelled and the Arkadelphia School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

We will continue to monitor road conditions for future announcements on returning to school and any necessary event make-up dates once they have been determined. We will make up missed school days according to our adopted 2025-26 school calendar.

It’s always an exciting day when we have Open House for a new school year! 🎉 We had an amazing turnout on each campus, including the Goza 5th Grade and AHS 9th Grade orientation—so many smiling faces ready for a great year ahead. 🐾
Thank you to our parents and guardians for showing up and supporting your child’s education. We appreciate our teachers, administrators, and support staff for their efforts in preparing for this day.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 13th.

Arkadelphia Public School District is working with local officials to assess the transportation situation for Monday’s school day. Below are the current changes to bus routes for Monday. School officials will be talking with local law officials this afternoon, and we will pass on more updates as they come. Thank you for being so patient as we get this information to you. **Parents–if our buses cannot get to your bus stop or you are unable to get your child to school due to the effects of the storms, please call your child’s school once the school office is open for an excused absence. As of Sunday, April 6th, the following routes will be affected on Monday, April 7: -Route 14 (Manchester/Dalark) cannot run at all. -Route 1 (Joan) will pick up normal times, but may arrive a few minutes late for school because they will have to come into town through Donaldson. -Route 17 (Open Banks) will be able to run the in-town portion of the route, but will not be able to go down past the church on 3rd Street or Open Banks. -Route 13 (Okolona) will have to come into town via I-30 because the Hwy. 51/53 junction is washed out. The bus will not be able to pick-up students on Bateman Road or Shilo Road because the bridge on Bateman Road is washed out.
