Magen Atkinson’s AP Physics I Class took a trip today to HSU. The students spent time in the Reynolds Science Center Planetarium with Dr. Shannon Clardy, viewed an atmospheric pressure demonstration by Dr. Norman, and completed a lab on Newton’s Laws. Great experience for our physics students!

BADGERS in Action - Tuesday, November 14

Mrs. Robin Jones’ Advanced Childcare Management students planned their first lesson this semester and taught it at their childcare placement facility. The student-teachers did a great job and the children got to be very creative during the lesson. AHS Students are getting some great hands-on workplace experience!

AHS parents, students, and staff:
Safety of our students and staff is the top priority of the Arkadelphia School District School Board and Administration. While metal detectors have been in use on a randomized basis for the past three-four years, we will be scanning every student, every day upon entry to Arkadelphia High School. Please plan morning arrival at school accordingly to account for the time involved in taking this safety precaution. Also, please report any potential safety threats that you may hear about. Every report is taken seriously and thoroughly investigated in cooperation with local authorities. We are thankful for our School Resource Officers, and the local police and sheriff's departments for always working with us to ensure our campuses are safe. While we do have safety protocols in place, we will continue to look for ways to improve our security measures at all campuses in our District. Thank you all for your continued support and for trusting us with your safety.
Sincerely,
Nikki Thomas, Superintendent

Students in Mrs. Lyndi Greenwich's class today escaped from the haunted house by solving Algebra 1 problems. For each problem solved correctly students were able to draw to see if they got a trick or a treat. They enjoyed working hard for candy and also getting some fun “tricks” along the way.🧡 Happy Halloween!
