The 2026–2027 Arkadelphia Public Schools Free and Reduced Meals Application is now open!

We ask that EVERY family complete the application; there are benefits for families and our school district for doing so.

Families receiving meal benefits during the previous school year MUST submit new applications to be eligible for free lunch in the 2026-2027 school year. In Arkansas, all families who qualify for the reduced school meal benefit receive their lunch for free also.

Arkadelphia JROTC members participated this week in the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock with other Arkansas Army JROTC programs. Among the different challenges they faced were water operations and rappelling. Arkadelphia JROTC Instructors Colonel Robert Parsons and SFC Jeffrey Ward accompanied the cadets.

Families are invited to the event that begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Garrison Center on the campus of Henderson State University.

Some of our seniors were able to attend an informative session with our very own Mrs. Greenwich, who shared helpful note-taking strategies and emphasized the importance of using college resources.

We also had Dr. Williams and Ms. Seals from Ouachita Baptist University speak with students about student services available at OBU and other colleges, along with how to find and effectively use these resources to support their success.

These sessions provided valuable insight as our seniors prepare for the transition after graduation. Thank you to all for investing in our students!

The Arkadelphia High School and Goza Middle School Choirs held a spring concert Tuesday evening. They did a wonderful job! The choirs are directed by Aaron McCain. Accompaniments included Peake Elementary School Music Teacher Laura Cornelius on piano and AHS Band Student Henry Harrell on bass. Thanks to everyone who came to support the choir program!

AHS 10th Grade BMI screenings
On Friday, May 1, 2026, school nurses will conduct body mass index screenings for all 10th-grade students, as required by the state of Arkansas. The screening will be height and weight only. Students will only be asked to remove shoes, excess jewelry, and coats.

If you wish for your child to not participate in the BMI screening, please make them aware that they will REMAIN in class when 10th-grade students are asked to come to the screening location. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the AHS School Nurse, ginger.harris@arkadelphiaschools.org

Today, financial aid expert Gina Tolbert joined Karen Matrose from Ouachita Baptist University to speak with seniors about financial aid opportunities and planning.
