The Arkadelphia High School Dazzlers had the opportunity to share their time and talent with some very special members of our community! After school, the team voluntarily visited Twin Rivers Health and Rehab to perform during the residents’ activity hour.
The dancers brought smiles, energy, and joy to the room, and it was such a heartwarming experience for everyone involved.
We are so proud of these young ladies for giving their time and using their talents to brighten someone’s day. 💙✨

AHS Art Students of Mrs. Candace Eriksson recently had the opportunity to learn the art of suminagashi under the instruction of OBU Professor and Chair of the OBU Rosemary Adams Department of Art & Design, Donnie Copeland. The students suspended ink in water to create beautiful marbled paper. They are getting some amazing learning opportunities through this collaboration between OBU and AHS.

Thursday was our monthly teacher Lunch & Learn!
For March, AHS Instructional Facilitator Jill Hardin's presentation was Loaded for Learning to go with the loaded baked potatoes she and Ms. Hunley provided. Everyone enjoyed good food and even better company. Just as important was reviewing strategies for the fourth grading term as we prepare for end-of-the year assessments. Love our AHS Team!

A very special day at AHS with the Arkadelphia Alliance, Patterson Federal Credit Union, AHS Beta Club, and the community. The ribbon was cut on a new extension of the student “backpack” program. We are proud of our AHS Beta Club and sponsor Magen Atkinson for taking the on-campus lead for this project, along with counselor Elizabeth Morris. The food pantry at AHS has been transformed from the traditional food bag program into a student-choice pantry offering nutritious, shelf-stable, and fresh food options, including produce, lean proteins, dairy products, and other healthy staples.
A BIG thank you to Gene, Becky, and Kayla Barnes for donating the beautiful refrigerator for the project!
Everyone involved in the Acorn Project, you are amazing too!

Last week, we celebrated our amazing counselors, Mrs. Shalonda Johnson and Ms. Elizabeth Morris, with baskets of their favorite goodies and heartfelt notes from students sharing the impact they’ve made on their lives and education.
“Mrs. Johnson is helpful and supportive — she knows what students need to be successful and helps them understand how to achieve it.”
“Ms. Morris is one of the most selfless people I know… she helps students, faculty, and staff with their mental health.”
We are so grateful for these two outstanding Badger Counselors!

We are ready to welcome our Badgers back!
Thanks to warmer temperatures and the hard work of the Clark County Road Crews and our district Maintenance and Transportation departments, the Arkadelphia Public School District will be in session on Tuesday, February 3rd.
Schedule: Regular start times for all buildings.
Transportation: All bus routes will run as scheduled.
Please continue to use caution in parking lots and walkways as some areas could possibly be slick. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday morning!

Thank you to our Badger family for your understanding and patience over the last week! While preparations have been made to have our campuses ready to return to school this week, ice and low temperatures continue to make many side roads unsafe for travel.
Because many of our bus routes and car riders rely on these secondary roads, we have determined that the Arkadelphia School District campuses will remain CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, February 2. While we considered a late start, buses would still need to travel during unsafe hours.
We do understand this may be an inconvenience for some, but the safety of our Arkadelphia families comes first.
📢 We anticipate warmer temperatures on Monday and will communicate updates for Tuesday’s schedule by Monday evening.
The Jr. High Basketball on Monday evening at Magnolia are still scheduled to be played.

Out of an abundance of caution, classes are cancelled, and the Arkadelphia School District will be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026. Unfortunately, many of our roads remain ice-covered and unsafe for student transportation.
We anticipate the sunshine to help improve road conditions as we plan to return to a regular schedule next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make decisions with the safety of our students and staff being the top priority.
According to our adopted 2025-26 school calendar, our make-up days will now be February 16, April 3, May 21, and May 22. We hope to see everyone soon!

Badger Family,
Unfortunately, road conditions continue to be hazardous, and overnight temperatures will once again be below freezing. For the safety of our students and staff, the decision has been made that classes are cancelled and the Arkadelphia School District will be closed on Thursday, January 29, 2026. According to our adopted 2025-26 school calendar, our make-up days will now be February 16, April 3, and May 21, 2026.
We will continue to monitor road conditions for future announcements on returning to school and any necessary event make-up dates once they have been determined. Everyone, stay safe!
