AHS 9th and 10th Grade had excellent attendance last week during the ACT Aspire Exams! Thank you students and families for making it a priority. Ms. Hunley and the staff celebrated this accomplishment by treating the freshmen and sophomores to ice cream with yummy toppings on Wednesday afternoon. The students loved it!
Students from Arkadelphia High School attended the 2023 Draft Day at Lake Hamilton on Tuesday. The event was sponsored by Dawson Education Service Cooperative. Approximately 60 area businesses were in attendance visiting with students about careers. Some of our students left with future interviews set up. They were accompanied by AHS Counselor, Shalonda McCoy-Johnson. It was a great opportunity for our students!
Dr. Rachel Pool brought her Methods and Classroom Management class from OBU to Mrs. Stefanie Davis' classroom at Arkadelphia High School on Monday. Mrs. Davis spoke to them about classroom management with an emphasis on Capturing Kids' Hearts and classroom atmosphere. This is great!

Coach Klein took to the outdoors today to model a demonstration speech for his Personal Communications classes. Now, the students will be giving their own demonstration speech. They also will know how to change a flat tire in the future!
AHS FBLA took some time to participate in a campus cleanup for their April Community Service Project. Thank you to Mrs. Wesley and FBLA!

This is a reminder that Arkadelphia Athletic Physicals for 2023-24 Grades 7-12 will be May 9.
Students need to pick a physical form in the Goza or AHS Main Office to bring on May 9.

Attention Parents:
AHS 9th and 10th-grade students will be taking the ACT ASPIRE tests next week. There will be tests every day of the week. The tests should be over by noon. These exams are very important. Students need to be at school by 8:00 am every day next week. Due to testing, we will not be able to call students out of class for appointments or to leave school early. We want to do everything possible to support our students in all they do.

A great night at the ballpark last Friday! The Lady Badgers got the 4-3 win with a go-ahead home run by Makayla Gentry. Badger Baseball took down DeQueen, 9-0. The Arkadelphia 2013 4A State Championship Team was honored during the boys' game. A big THANK YOU to Southwest Auto Collection for providing free hot dogs for those in attendance. Softball and baseball will both travel to Magnolia on Tuesday to take on the Panthers. Let’s Go Big Blue!
