The AHS Cyberpatriot team, Badger Elite, won the Arkansas Cyberpatriot competition for the Silver Tier-Open Category during a December Competition. The team has qualified to move onto the national semifinal round in January.
Badger Elite received the highest score for any Arkansas team in the Silver Tier and the Open Category. The team finished in 22nd Place in the Silver Tier, Open Category among of all competitors (U.S. & Canada). There were 501 teams that competed in the Open Category in the Silver Tier.
Team members for the AHS Badger Elite Cyberpatriot team are Seniors Joshua LeVar and Colin Phillips; Juniors Calvin Clardy, Stanley Cordero, Kevin Ghodela and De'lion Summerville. The team is coached by Vince Herron.
CyberPatriot is the Air Force Association's National Youth Cyber Education Program, created to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future.

Christmas is in the air at AHS and the results are in from the AHS Door Decorating Contest. The winners are Mrs. Ashley Wesley & her Survey of Business Class-1st Place; Mr. Patterson-2nd Place; Mrs. Robin Jones-3rd Place; & 4th Place-Jacob Roberson. Everyone did a wonderful job!
Qualifying AHS Students Grades 9-11 were rewarded with a Popcorn Party for putting extra work in before break to improve math, reading, & language skills using online personal learning paths. Keep up the good work students! Thanks to Ms. Hunley & her team for making this happen!

During October, Coulson Oil Company presented a check to the AHS Administration through their Shell Giving Pump initiative. This was made possible by the RoadRunner Spirit Pump here in Arkadelphia. A BIG thank you to everyone involved for supporting our school district!
The AHS Child Care Guidance & Management students assisted this week with the Arkadelphia Head Start Program’s Trunk or Treat. The students did a wonderful job making the time fun for all and getting experience in the child care field at the same time!

Baptist Health will host a Walk-in COVID Vaccination Clinic in the Goza Middle School Cafeteria on Thursday, September 2 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The clinic is available for those who received the first dose at August 12 Clinic. Anyone needing their first dose is also welcome.
