The Arkansas Department of Education School Report Cards were released yesterday, giving us an opportunity to celebrate progress, recognize the hard work happening across our schools, and identify areas where we will continue to grow.
These ratings reflect Achievement, Growth, and Readiness. While letter grades may be the first thing people look for, they do not tell the whole story.
🎉 A BIG CELEBRATION AT AHS! Arkadelphia High School has moved from a C to a B, with its overall rating increasing an almost 39 points from the 2024–2025 school year!
This is a tremendous accomplishment and reflects the hard work and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and families. We are proud of the progress taking place at AHS and will continue building on this momentum.
The letter grades for our other schools remained the same as last year. At the district level, Arkadelphia Public Schools remains at a C, while the district's overall rating increased 13 points from the 2024–2025 school year.
Peake Elementary School. Within Peake's overall school score, the Achievement rating (those scoring 3/4 on the ATLAS Exam) increased from last year, and we celebrate that progress. We are proud that K-3 Achievement scores were above the state average in every grade and subject area for the 2025–2026 school year.
It is also important to understand the data behind Peake’s report. K–2 ATLAS scores are not included in the School Report Card. Peake’s overall score and the letter grade are based on 3rd and 4th grade data—2 of 5 grade levels, representing 40% of the school population.
The K–2 students are tested on the ATLAS Summative in Reading and Math. As mentioned in the above paragraph, these students scored above the state average in both categories and at all grade levels in Spring 2026. This is encouraging evidence of the work happening in our youngest learners.
We also recognize that there is more work to do in the area of Growth, and we are committed to maintaining high expectations and continuing to move student achievement forward.
📈 Goza Middle School. Goza Middle School’s overall rating continues to trend upward, increasing by 3 points from last year. We celebrate this progress and appreciate the continued dedication of our students, educators, staff, administrators, and families.
📚 The work continues. Data allows us to celebrate, reflect, and improve. We are proud of the progress represented in these results, and we are equally committed to addressing areas where we need to see continued growth.
