Facilities Update 2024: Moving Forward

On behalf of the students, staff, and the entire community, we would like to thank everyone for their generous support for our schools.  On September 15, 2015, voters in the Arkadelphia School District approved the 5.75 mill increase to fund new facilities and building projects for our current and future students.  The millage increase provided funds for the construction of Goza Middle School (grades 6-8) and Peake Elementary School (grades K-4).

The following project updates are intended to allow parents, students, faculty, business leaders, and other members of our community to view and engage in the process during the upcoming months and years.  Your investment makes this progress possible!  The Arkadelphia School District promises reliable stewardship of our taxpayer dollars.

Peake Elementary School Update

APSD broke ground on the new Peake Elementary School Tuesday, January 17, 2023. We received approval for ADE Building Partnership Funding in May 2022. The District anticipates opening the campus in the fall of 2024.

The new 80,000-square-foot facility is being built at 1609 Pine Street on the campus of the original Peake location.

Goza Middle School

The new Goza Middle School building opened to students in Fall 2019. The new 84,000 SF facility is blended into the existing high school site with careful consideration taken into the circulation of vehicle and student foot traffic. The multi-level floor plan is designed to make student spaces inviting and welcoming yet flexible and adaptable for future learning processes.
