The Arkadelphia Board of Education is accepting letters of interest from those qualified to fill the Zone 5 vacancy on the APS Board of Education. The position, held by Randy Turner since Sept. 2006, is open after he announced his resignation from the board effective October 2018. Turner’s term was set to expire in 2020.

 “Mr. Turner has served our district for 12 years as a member of the board and we are grateful for his service and dedication to our students,” said APS Superintendent Donnie Whitten.  “He has been a great friend to the Arkadelphia School District and we wish him the very best.”

Registered voters who reside in Zone 5 should submit their letter of interest by November 6 at 4:00 p.m to the following address:

As required by law, the board will appoint a member to serve the remainder of the term.
