We appreciate Congressman Bruce Westerman for coming and visiting with Arkadelphia High School's pre-engineering students this morning. Students were able to demonstrate several of their current projects, including their work on the FANUC robotic arm.
Recently, Mr. Bud McMillion obtained his certification to teach students material handling using FANUC robotic arms. FANUC is a global leader in factory automation solutions. Students completing the FANUC Certification program at Arkadelphia High School will be certified to operate FANUC Robots in the workplace. Local businesses that utilize FANUC robots include Danfoss and Allcare.

Tutoring is available for ALL students at the following times: 7:30 – 7:50 a.m.

Tuesdays – Science Classes
Wednesdays – English Classes
Thursdays – Social Studies Classes
There will be an FCA meeting every Wednesday in Ms. Hornsby’s room for 1st lunch students. Mrs. Mays will host 2nd lunch in her room, 539. All students are welcome to bring your lunch and attend.
To All Juniors and Seniors: Project Prom is looking for
contestants to compete in Miss Project Prom. All contestants will receive a free Prom ticket. Forms can be found in Mrs. Terah Rash’s room. HURRY!!! Only 8 contestants will compete.
During the month of February we will be having daily Black History trivia. Students should check their emails at the beginning of second period. The first student to reply correctly to the question via Google form will receive a free Chicken Express snack pack.
12th Grade GT will be conducting site visits for the Cone Foundation Grant recipients on Wednesday, February 14 during 8th period. Students need to check with teachers for assignments or turning in homework.
10th Grade GT will be filming the No Smokemon video on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 8-11:00 a.m. at Camp Winnamocka. Students will need to check with teachers for assignments or turning in homework.
There will be TAG Meetings on Wednesday, February 14. We will be on bell schedule 3.
Abby and Nick, senior mechanical engineering students at the University of Arkansas, spent the day at AHS visiting with students in the engineering classes. Students participated in an engineering-related project and heard about opportunities in the engineering field.

There will be a fundraiser for the Lady Badger Softball team on Monday, February 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Big Cheese Pizza.
Arkadelphia High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Night on February 15 in the AHS Little Theatre from 2 to 6 p.m. There will be a special guest speaker from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
FAFSA assistance will be available from 2 to 6 p.m. Please bring your tax information for FAFSA assistance.
This is a great opportunity for parents and students to get their questions answered and receive help finding financial aid. Students and parents from surrounding schools are welcome to attend this event.
