The Debate Team is sponsoring a new event called Badger Congress. It is open to all students of AHS. They will play the role of a representative in a mock congress set-up. Awards will be given for Best Representative(s) and Bill(s). Bonus points will be available for those who attend and more for those who participate. The AHS Senior High Quiz Bowl Team received 1st Place honors at the AGQBA Sr. High Regionals in Mena. Alex Carter earned All-Tournament Team honors as well as MVP for the tournament. Team members include: Carter, Mollie Daniell, Allie Harris, Fateemah Faiq, JJ Jackson, Blanton Matthews, Owen Phillips, Drew Webb, Patrick Hayes, Sydney Motl, Cannon Turner, Cole Turner, Wyatt Forthman, and Cabb Batson. Mr. Steve Patterson and Ms. Beverly Slavens are team sponsors.

The representative from Herff Jones will be here next Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 8:00 am - 12:45 pm to deliver graduation supplies. He will be set up in the Little Theater. Individual student balance due envelopes have been handed out to students who owe for their items. Cash, money orders, and credit/debit cards will only be accepted for your balance. Also, if you have not ordered and wish to do so, you can order on this day. The order can be rushed, and you should receive it within a couple of weeks. You can also order online at www.highschool.herffjones.com.

April is national poetry month. There are poem pages posted on walls, lockers and windows in the building. Read them. If you find one you really like, take it with you. There will be more posted throughout the month.

Parents as Teachers is hosting a Diaper Drive on April 9-13. Donations can be dropped off at the administration building from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. each day.

The Arkadelphia High School Project Prom Committee is needing volunteers to help on the night of project prom. Project Prom will be on April 14 from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Volunteers will help with activities, pick up donated food, and serve snacks. If you can volunteer, please contact Melissa Andrews or respond to the poll on the "Arkadelphia High School Project Prom" Facebook.

DRIVER’S TESTS: Driver’s Tests will now be given on Mondays at the Clark County Training Center in Gum Springs. The address is 35 McClellan Dr. Written exams are from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Driving exams start at 9:00 a.m. and are limited, so get there early to be put on this list.
