During the October School Board Meeting, coaches were recognized in honor of National Coaches Day which is celebrated on October 6. Coaches in attendance received a Badger Pride Award. Thank you Coaches Leon Ellis, Garrett Garner, John Ware, & Athletic Director Donald Williams.

Goza Assistant Principal Stephanie Givens was recognized with a Badger Pride Award for her dedication to serving the students and staff at her school. Mrs. Givens has started the Bodacious Badger Award that recognizes students for their positive behavior. Great job Mrs. Givens!
Gray Manning was recognized during the October 19th School Board Meeting. Gray received a Badger Pride Award for his Top 5 finish at the 4A state golf tournament earlier this month and was named All State for his performance. We are so proud of Gray!
Ashley Wesley received a Badger Pride Award at the October School Board Meeting. Mrs. Wesley was honored for the outstanding job she does coordinating the Football Homecoming Events. She goes above and beyond to make homecoming a memorable time for everyone. Thank you Ashley!
Tuesday, Governor Asa Hutchinson announced a change in quarantine guidance for K-12 Schools. The definition of a close contact in a school setting has changed from 6 feet for 15 minutes to within 3 feet for 15 minutes.

The Arkadelphia School Board voted to transition our face covering policy to be optional for K-12 students and staff effective Wednesday, October 20. Thank you to our parents, staff, and students for your cooperation. We will continue to monitor COVID cases affecting our schools.

This Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. is Parent-Teacher Conferences. There will be no regular school days for students Thursday and Friday, October 21-22. Have a great week!

Candace Williams was recognized September 21st during the Board of Education meeting. Williams received a Badger Pride for training OBU tutors in the area of math to support our 2nd grade students through the America Counts Program.

Chief Jason "Shorty" Jackson was a September Badger Pride winner. Jackson was nominated by Mary Snowden, Principal at Peake Elementary. Chief Jackson has gone above and beyond in helping make the beginning of the school year a success. Thank you Chief Jackson and the APD.
