AHS parents, students, and staff:
Safety of our students and staff is the top priority of the Arkadelphia School District School Board and Administration. While metal detectors have been in use on a randomized basis for the past three-four years, we will be scanning every student, every day upon entry to Arkadelphia High School. Please plan morning arrival at school accordingly to account for the time involved in taking this safety precaution. Also, please report any potential safety threats that you may hear about. Every report is taken seriously and thoroughly investigated in cooperation with local authorities. We are thankful for our School Resource Officers, and the local police and sheriff's departments for always working with us to ensure our campuses are safe. While we do have safety protocols in place, we will continue to look for ways to improve our security measures at all campuses in our District. Thank you all for your continued support and for trusting us with your safety.
Sincerely,
Nikki Thomas, Superintendent

We hope everyone enjoyed the extra hour of sleep after setting your clocks back this weekend. Here's what is happening this week in Arkadelphia Public Schools.
