The special guests also included Henderson State University's Divine 9 Greeks. Thank you to the BHM Committee and Sponsor Ashley Wesley for organizing such an inspirational celebration!

A Badger Pride Award was presented to Kelby Denton and Brittany Godwin in recognition of their work and the entire Print Mania staff for organizing a food drive for students at Perritt Primary School. We are so thankful for our partnership with Print Mania and its dedication to our students. This makes a difference in the lives of our students and their families. #BadgerPride

The Arkadelphia School Board enjoyed lunch on Wednesday at Goza Middle School. The Board got to hear from students and staff regarding their academic goals this year and celebrate the progress happening to reach those goals. Thank you Goza for hosting! #BadgerPride

The Arkadelphia High School Educator Rising Chapter presented to students at Peake Elementary on Wednesday. The AHS students shared lessons they had prepared on Black History and the influential figures who helped change the world. A great way to celebrate Black History Month!

Two of our coaches were recognized at Tuesday evening’s school board meeting for going above and beyond to assist our transportation department. Jimmy King, Director of Support Services expressed his appreciation to Coaches Jenny Coon and Drew Loe for stepping up and driving regular bus routes when drivers were short. This helps get our students home without big delays or combining routes. Thank you Coach Coon and Coach Loe! You are awesome! #BusDriverAppreciationDay

We are grateful for our bus drivers and transportation team in the APSD! Special thanks to Nicole McGough and PFCU for gift bags and to Chicken Express for snack packs given to our drivers and transportation team letting them know how much they are appreciated today!

We are excited to announce that Arkadelphia High School Senior Calvin Clardy has been named a 2023 National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Congratulations to Calvin! We are so proud of you. #BadgerPride

We are so glad to welcome Shelly Whittle back into our district this spring as a Special Education Teacher at Peake Elementary School! Shelly previously taught at Arkadelphia High School and Goza Middle School. We are grateful to have her experience at Peake! #BadgerPride

We continue to celebrate Black History Month! Wednesday, February 22 is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day!! Good luck to Lady Badger & Badger Basketball at regionals, and to wrestling and swim/dive at state! We will see everyone back on campus Tuesday after Presidents' Day.

Thursday wrapped up another successful Scholastic Book Fair at Perritt Primary School. Thank you to Perritt's Media Specialist Kaila Murphy, all the volunteers, and the parents for purchasing books for their children to read! Enjoy those books during our long weekend!

We want to introduce two new faces to Peake Elementary this year. Melissa Miller was hired in the fall as a paraprofessional and is now in the classroom as a Special Education teacher. Teresa Honeycutt joined Peake in January as a paraprofessional. We welcome you both to APSD!

APSD will host Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 16th from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. on each campus. There will be no school for students on Thursday(16th-PTC), Friday(17th-Teacher Flex Day), and Monday(20th-President's Day). We look forward to seeing everyone at PTC!
