The Arkansas Department of Education has directed each district to develop a “Ready for Learning” Committee to help plan for the upcoming school year based on guidance from public health officials and state agencies. APSD knows there are questions and we know there are not many answers right now. We know your concerns are real. We do want you to know that APSD will be meeting regularly to gather resources and share insight and concerns for our students. We want to assure you that we do have their safety and health at the forefront. Thank you to our parents and community for your patience and understanding during this time. We are actively working on a re-engagement plan for the 2020-2021 school year that will be share with you soon!
We will offer free sports physicals on July 21 beginning at 8:30 AM at the high school. 6th-8th grade will report from 8:30-10:00 and 9th-12th grade from 10:30-12:00. In order for your student to participate, you must return the attached questionnaire prior to your student participating in the physical. Forms are also available in the office at the high school and Goza. The medical history section of the questionnaire is very important. Please fill out the front page, sign the top of the back page, and have your child bring with them the day of physicals. CDC guidelines will be followed. We ask that you wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
