Today was a great day for the Arkadelphia Class of 2023 on their final day on campus. It was topped off with the Arkadelphia Promise Signing Ceremony. Four members of the AHS Educators Rising chapter were recognized at last month’s APSD Board meeting for qualifying to compete at the 2023 Educators Rising National Conference held in Orlando, Florida this June. Congratulations to Lauren Jones, Creative Lecture-TED Talk; Kennedi Arnold, Lesson Plan & Delivery - Humanities; Caitlyn McGough, Educators Rising Moment; and Alana Lynders-Gonzales, Job Interview! ATTENTION PARENTS & GUARDIANS. Please read this important information regarding the process for the 2023 Summer P-EBT Benefit.
To be eligible for the one-time P-EBT summer benefit payment, parents MUST have completed a Free/Reduced Meal Application for the 2022-23 School Year. If you have not previously done so, the form must be turned in to your child’s school before May 31, 2023.

AHS Students are wrapping up the end-of-year Advanced Placement exams. There were 138 students who took at least one of 13 different AP courses offered through AHS. Many students took multiple tests making our AP Exam count 345. Tests are coordinated by Misti Dixon. Great job!

The Blooming Color Run scheduled for tomorrow morning has been cancelled due to weather and participation concerns.

Six AHS FBLA members were recognized in the recent APSD School Board meeting for qualifying to compete at the 2023 FBLA National Leadership Conference this summer in Atlanta, Georgia. A record number for the AHS Chapter! Congratulations to these students:
Caiden Dickerson 1st Place in Digital Video Production
Blaise Batson 1st Place in Future Business Leader
Blaise Batson, Mychia Leatherwood, and Emilee Young 1st Place in Community Service Project
Mtende Moyo 3rd Place in Graphic Design
Naffaterria Horton 4th Place in Computer Applications
Additionally, Blaise Batson was the only Arkansas student to be recognized with the Capstone Award, the highest level in the National FBLA Business Achievement Awards. She was awarded a $500 scholarship and is competing for a $5,000 cash prize at the NLC.
Recently, AHS FBLA was also named a 2022-23 National FBLA Gold Champion Chapter.
