The 2025 Arkadelphia Public Schools Art Show is here! The Arkadelphia Public Schools Art Department will host a student art exhibit at the Arkadelphia Art Center on Main Street starting Wednesday. The show will feature K-12 Student artwork inspired by the artist Pablo Picasso. The Exhibit will be open April 23rd - 25th and 28th from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. There will be a reception on Tuesday, April 29, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to view the amazing student-created art pieces! #BadgerPride

🚍 School Bus Driver Appreciation Day | April 22, 2025 🚍 Today, we pause to say a big THANK YOU to the dedicated team that keeps our students safe and smiling every single day—our school bus drivers! They’re the first friendly face many of our kids see each morning and the last goodbye at the end of the school day. Whether it's the daily route or a fun field trip, our drivers are there on time, dependable, and full of care. We are so grateful for all they do for our students, families, and school staff. The Arkadelphia High School Chapter of FBLA was recognized in the April School Board meeting for the great success they experienced at the 2025 Arkansas State Leadership Conference. The chapter earned fourth place as the Largest Chapter Membership and received the Hollis & Kitty Guy Gold Seal Chapter of Merit Award. Senior Caiden Dickerson was awarded the Mary Alice Elam Scholarship in recognition of his achievements and contributions. Congratulations to the fourteen competitors placing in the top four and qualifying to compete in this year’s National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California this summer: First Place: Caiden Dickerson & Trace Young- Digital Video Production; Christian Hunter- Electronic Career Portfolio; Brylee Russey & Jadyn Thompson- Local Chapter Annual Business Report; and Taylor Aultman & Millie Babb- Website Design Second Place: Jadyn Thompson- Introduction to Public Speaking Third Place: Anabelle Davis, Eden Heard, & Carly Martin- Introduction to Business Presentation, and Raena Wheeler- Introduction to Event Planning Fourth Place: Sophia Clark, Julia Greenwich, & Carsyn Vaughan- Visual Design Tonight and for the next three Monday nights starting at 5:00 p.m., you can swing by Chicken Express and grab dinner to help support our FBLA students as they raise funds to attend the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim. #BadgerPride

Congratulations to the three AHS student athletes who signed their National Letter of Intent to their respective colleges today! Halle McGough and Lauren White signed to cheer for the OBU Tigers. James Elgas signed to play basketball for the HSU Reddies. #BadgerPride

Peake 3rd Grade Student Adelyn Jones was recognized in the Arkadelphia School Board meeting this month with a Badger Pride Award. Principal Mary Snowden nominated Adelyn for placing 2nd in the Arkansas Literacy Association's 7th Annual “Everyone’s An Author” student writing showcase. The topic of the essay was a song that has impacted her life the most. Adelyn chose to write about the song “Goodness of God” by CeCe Winans. Adelyn did an outstanding job! We are so proud of her. #BadgerPride

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Easter. We have a busy week ahead in the Arkadelphia School District. Every campus will have at least one day of ATLAS Summative Testing this week. AHS will host an Athletic Signing Day for basketball and cheer Monday at 10:30a.m. Tuesday is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day and Wednesday is Administrative Professionals Day. On Wednesday, what has become an annual event, the Art Show for our District Art Department will open at the Arkadelphia Art Center. Saturday, the AHS Quiz Bowl team will compete for the 4A State Championship! Check out the graphics for all the great things happening in the Arkadelphia Public School District this week. Set a reminder! The Arkadelphia High School Quiz Bowl team is headed to the 4A State Finals one week from today! The match will be broadcast through the Arkansas PBS network at noon on Saturday, April 26th. This will be the third consecutive year the team has reached the 4A Finals Match. Arkadelphia Purple Up! for Military Kids Challenge - Friday, April 18 April is the Month of the Military Child, underscoring the important role military children play in the armed forces community. Our campuses are having a Purple Up Challenge on Friday to show their support for military children in recognizing the unique academic and social challenges children of military families face and the sacrifices they make because of their parent’s military service. Congratulations to the Arkadelphia High School Band for their First Division performance today at the ASBOA State Concert Assessment in Jonesboro. The band earned top honors with 1st Division Wind Ensemble and first place with their High Points Honor Ensemble. The band was among 17 schools competing in their classifications. Amazing job by our band and band directors! #BadgerPride

AHS Senior Sydney Covington was recognized at last night's School Board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. Sydney earned his 3rd Consecutive State Diving Championship. In doing so, Sydney set a new 4A-1A Men's 1-meter state diving record two years in a row. Congratulations Sydney! We are so proud of you. #BadgerPride

Today, AHS Students had the opportunity to visit the Siplast plant in Arkadelphia. The students also toured their new operation, which recently opened in Gum Springs. Siplast employees provided an informative tour of the facilities and engaged the students in the manufacturing process. Thank you to Siplast for your support of Arkadelphia High School!

Congratulations to Arkadelphia High School student Camariah Bell for earning the Diamond Award presented to outstanding AE students across the state. The awards ceremony was held last month at the Arkansas State Capitol. She was accompanied by Ms. Judith Davis. Students are nominated for the Diamond Award by their teachers and administrators for displaying diligence, perseverance, sensitivity, and resiliency. The selection committee is made up of board members from the Arkansas Association of Alternative Educators and members of the Arkansas Department of Education Alternative Education Unit. Camariah was also recognized at the March School Board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. Thank you, Camariah, for your commitment to the program and your successful transition back to your regular high school schedule. We are proud of you! #BadgerPride

The Goza Middle School and Arkadelphia High School Choirs, led by Director Cody Kehmeier, performed the National Anthem at the Arkansas Travelers' home game at Dickey-Stephens Park last Thursday evening. Thank you, choirs, for representing our school district! #BadgerPride
