The proposed new Arkadelphia High School includes a new arena-style gymnasium and a covered practice pavilion. A new sports arena is designed to meet requirements for hosting regional, state, and district-wide events. A new multi-use covered practice field allows students involved in band, JROTC, cheer, dance, and athletics a safe place to practice and hold year-round events.

The Millage Special Election Day is Tuesday, November 18 (7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.) at the Arkadelphia Rec Center. The last day for early voting is Monday, November 17 (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).

We appreciate everyone who joined Arkadelphia FFA Alumni & Supporters for the Agricultural Mechanics Workshop Open House, Membership Drive, and Auction on Thursday evening. Mr. Cox and his students will start utilizing the facility at 303 High School Drive for the program, which returned to the district last school year after a long absence. Badger Football Playoff Information:

ONLY AAA passes will be accepted for this game.
Tickets can be purchased before the game by scanning the QR Code on the graphic or at https://gofan.co/event/5341118?schoolId=AAA
The fastest way to get in the gate will be to purchase your tickets online and come to the gate with your phone open. Our gate workers will validate your ticket. If you do not purchase tickets online, you will have to purchase them from your phone at the gate with a credit card. During the playoffs, there are NO cash options available for ticketing.
Gates will open to the public at 5:30p.m. at Badger Stadium.

Badger Pride Spotlight 🌟 Arkadelphia High School Senior Mattie Powell was recognized for showing the CKH Leadworthy Character Trait of Empathy! She was nominated by AHS Virtual Arkansas Digital Learning Lab Facilitator, Monica Rayburn. Ms. Rayburn shares that Mattie is patient and sensitive to others' feelings. Early voting for the millage special election begins today at the Arkadelphia Rec Center. The polling site will be open November 12-14 & 17 for early voting, 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. On election day, voting will be open 7:30a.m.-7:30p.m. Your vote matters!

The 2025 Millage Special Election Ballot

The graphic contains the official wording of the tax proposal as it will appear on the ballot. The ballot does mention other millage numbers that are not new to this proposal.

Taxpayers will be asked to vote on the following changes:
- An overall 3.00 mill increase to the current millage rate
- Transfer 2.00 current maintenance and operation mills to debt service mills
- This will result in 5.00 new debt service mills, but only 3.00 of these mills will be new mills levied in the tax rate

The Arkadelphia Promise has announced the November Teacher of the Month, Mr. Michael Ankton.

Mr. Ankton is a 7th and 8th-grade Social Studies teacher at Goza Middle School. He is the Student Council Sponsor and has coordinated the effort to bring the Arkansas Game and Fish Conservation Leadership to Goza Middle School. Mr. Ankton is in his third year at Goza.

He is a 2019 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership (Building Level) at Henderson State University. He is now working on an Educational Doctorate in Rural and Diverse Educational Leadership at SAU.

Last month, the first Arkadelphia Promise Teacher of the Month recipient was named. The award was made possible by the late Janice Stanford’s remarkable generosity through a legacy donation to the Arkadelphia Promise Foundation.
Mr. Ankton was presented with a cash award in appreciation of his impact by the Arkadelphia Promise Director, Jason Jones. This award is presented monthly to an Arkadelphia educator who demonstrates excellence in the classroom, a passion for student success, and an unwavering dedication to the teaching profession.

Early voting for the School Millage Special Election begins on Wednesday. Early voting continues on weekdays through Monday, November 17. The Election Day is Tuesday, November 18. All voting will be held at the Arkadelphia Rec Center.

Our district was proud to be represented at the 10-state Southeast SETESOL Conference in Little Rock! Hosted by ARKTESOL, the event brought together educators dedicated to supporting English learners. Jequetta Berry and Jeremy Bell attended on behalf of our district, and Jeremy also presented a breakout session titled “A Strategic Understanding of the Arkansas School Report Card,” helping ESOL personnel explore their impact on campus success.

Mrs. Cindie Escalante was recently recognized with a Badger Pride Award. She was nominated by the AHS Leadership Team. Cindie, a retired math teacher, affectionately known as “Nonna,” volunteers in her daughter Lyndi Greenwich's Algebra 1 classes three to four times each week. She brings her expert teaching skills and patient guidance to small groups, helping them fill learning gaps and build confidence in math. Thanks to Nonna’s dedication, students are not only strengthening their skills but also developing a genuine love for learning. Thank you, Cindie Escalante, for investing your time in our students!
