Arkadelphia Public Schools would like to recognize Coach Brandon Helms as the new Badger Football Offensive Coordinator. Brandon began voluntarily working with the football coaching staff over the past couple of years. He joined the staff at Goza Middle School during the 2025-2026 school year. This year, his home campus is at Arkadelphia High School. Brandon is an AHS Graduate. He has been a head coach and athletic director in Louisiana. When he retired from that state, he moved back home to Arkadelphia, and we are blessed to have him here.
We look forward to seeing Badger Football in action on Tuesday evening at Glen Rose for the AAA Benefit Scrimmage. Let’s go Badgers!

Happy Friday! 🥳 Our buildings are officially full and FULL of energy! 💙
We’ve had a busy week! While grades 1-12 headed back-to-school on Wednesday, our wonderful kindergarten students started their journey in smaller groups on Wednesday and Thursday. But today is the day that all of our amazing kindergarten students are here together!
We are so incredibly glad to have the Class of 2039 joining us. The students did a fantastic job, and parents, you should be proud – you made it through, too! ❤️

Arkadelphia Public Schools would like to welcome Ms. Savannah Whitaker! She joins the district as the new Head Volleyball Coach at AHS and Goza.
Coach Whitaker is originally from Texas and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University, where she played for the OBU Women’s Volleyball team. She will also teach 5th and 6th grade P.E. at Goza. She says she feels incredibly blessed and grateful for the opportunity to continue her journey here in Arkadelphia.

We made it through the first day of the new school year. Everyone looked so good! It was great to welcome our students back.
Tomorrow, we welcome the second half of our Kindergarten class to Peake.

Over the summer, the Arkadelphia Public School District welcomed Mr. John Bagby to the administrative team at Goza Middle School as the Assistant Principal. Mr. Bagby is a graduate of Bryant High School. He has an undergraduate degree from UA-Fayetteville and a graduate degree from UALR. He says that he is excited to be at Goza and desires to see our students growing and learning. Please help us welcome Mr. John Bagby to Arkadelphia Public Schools!

Wednesday begins the new school year!
To our Arkadelphia community, we want you to know that our car rider traffic and buses will again be a consideration as you head out tomorrow morning and afternoon. We appreciate your patience, and just a reminder around our school buses: “Flashing Red. Kids Ahead.”
To our Peake car rider families, please follow the routes outlined in the attached files that explain where vehicles should line up if traffic on Caddo St. is past 16th St.
When picking up a child in the car rider line, please remember to open your Dashpass app. For more information, visit www.arkadelphiaschools.org/o/peake/documents/transportation-information-folder/16366199
When drivers enter the staging area, please select the lane (left or right) based on the direction you will turn onto Pine St. when leaving the school.
Once families are in the staging area, PLEASE follow the lead of the Peake Staff working car rider duty so that our children are safely in/out of the vehicle.
Our partners at the Arkadelphia Police Department will be on-site to assist with smoother traffic flow.

⚠️ Goza parents who will drop off and pick up students, please use Malone Drive to Badger Drive to enter and exit the drive to the Goza pick-up/drop-off area.
⚠️ Goza parents, please be aware that AHS Student Drivers will be using the Goza exit as they leave campus at 3:15 p.m. Please enter and exit cautiously.

Krystal started in the district in the Perritt Primary School office. She moved to the Business Office as the Payroll Clerk before becoming the Business Manager.
