We are celebrating principals this month! Let them know how much you appreciate them.

Today, we recognize Goza Middle School Principal, Tisha Hunter. Ms. Hunter joined the Badger family in 2022 from Hope High School, where she spent 14 years as Dean of Students and Instructional Facilitator. Ms. Hunter loves the NBA. Her favorite teams are the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers. Ms. Hunter graduated from high school and college in California. Thank you, Ms. Hunter, for your care and concern for our Goza students and staff!

At AHS, Magen Atkinson’s Algebra II students have been working on quadratic application activities. Last week, they identified key features of a quadratic graph. Students had to describe and interpret how a quadratic equation represents the path of a football in motion. They used some footage provided by Coach Schucker of Senior Kicker Seth Molinari. What a great way to put math into motion! Mrs. Atkinson's students are truly kicking their learning up a notch!

The proposed Arkadelphia High School project is designed to provide modern learning environments, highlighted by a dedicated area for Career Education.

This new facility will house the Agricultural Education/FFA Shop and AHS Career Pathway Programs. In 2024-25, Agricultural Education and FFA returned to the Arkadelphia School District after 53 years. This new facility will provide hands-on learning workspace for high-wage, high-demand careers.

The Arkadelphia Public School District Board of Education voted unanimously in August to approve a resolution seeking the public’s support for a 3.0 millage increase. With voter approval, funds would be available to replace the 52-year old high school and construct a new high school facility for grades 9-12, including a safe room, career education center, fine arts auditorium, and extracurricular areas that benefit district-wide programs.

We will host two community meetings in the AHS Little Theater on Monday, November 3rd, at 12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
