Congratulations to February Badger Pride Award recipients Destinee Seabrooks-Roberson, Blakely Davis, and Jude Manning (not pictured) from the AHS Beta Club, led by Magen Atkinson and Nicole McGough. This group has taken our food assistance program to new heights.
The AHS Beta Club, with the support of the Acorn Project and Patterson Federal Credit Union which facilitates and raises funds from local organizations and individuals to support the initiative, students transformed the traditional food bag program into a student-choice pantry offering nutritious, shelf-stable, and fresh food options, including produce, lean proteins, dairy products, and other healthy staples. Fully integrated into the school's broader wellness and support services, this expanded pantry ensures that each student in need has consistent access to healthy meals, reflecting the club's deep commitment to student success.
We are excited to invite the community to a Ribbon Cutting for the new Arkadelphia High School Food Pantry hosted by the Arkadelphia Alliance one week from today, Thursday, March 5th, at 10:00 am in the AHS Cafeteria.

Arkadelphia High School senior Kayde Gentry was surprised today while waiting with her team to travel to the basketball regional, and it was worth the wait! Kayde has been selected as a recipient of a $2,500 scholarship through the McLarty Automotive Group Drives Education Program.
Representatives from McClarty Auto, including Shiloh Mitchell from Benton McClarty, were on hand for the presentation, along with KATV Channel 7 and Steve Powell, who are covering all nine scholarship surprises taking place across the state this year.
Kayde’s family joined in on the celebration as she was recognized for demonstrating excellence in the classroom, compassion for others, and outstanding character in our community. The McLarty Drives Education Scholarship is awarded to students who show a strong drive for learning and service, with funds paid directly to the institution of their choice for the upcoming academic year.
📺 Be watching Channel 7 — Kayde’s story will be shared soon!
We’re proud of you, Kayde, and can’t wait to see all that your future holds!
It’s always a great day to be a Badger!
