Peake 4th Grade Quiz Bowl Students were recognized in the May Board meeting for placing 2nd in the Dawson Education Service Cooperative Tournament. They are coached by GT Teacher Brandi Cotton. AHS Senior Terence McClellan was recognized in May with a Badger Pride Award. Terence competed at the Arkansas Skills USA State Skill and Leadership Conference in April. He was also on the ASU Three Rivers Quiz Bowl team for Welding and received a bronze medal with his Quiz Bowl team. Congratulations! #BadgerPride

The 2024 Arkadelphia High School 4A Arkansas Quiz Bowl State Runner-Up Team members were recognized in the May School Board meeting with Badger Pride Awards. This is a reminder that starting tomorrow Arkadelphia Public Schools will provide free meals to children 0 to 18 years old, regardless of income, on each of our four school campuses (Perritt, Peake, Goza, and AHS). These meals have to be eaten at the school. Goza Middle School students Jax Kingdon, Karson White, Holden Craig, and Harrison Hudspeth were recognized at the May Arkadelphia School Board meeting. This team won 1st Place in their region during the Economics Arkansas Stock Market Game this spring. Earlier this month, they and their teacher, Jequetta Berry, received their trophy at the awards luncheon at the Clinton Presidential Library. Congratulations on your outstanding accomplishment! #BadgerPride

Heather Crocker was recognized at the May School Board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. Mrs. Crocker has been a long-term substitute in the Arkadelphia High School English Department this year as well as assisting the AHS front office staff in any way she could. She has also served as a primary volunteer for the AHS Family and Community Engagement (FACE) group as a parent. She has been a great help to the AHS Parental Involvement Coordinator, Mrs. Stefanie Davis. We appreciate you, Mrs. Crocker! #BadgerPride

Peake 5th Grade Student Charlie Harrell received a Badger Pride Award this month at the Arkadelphia School Board meeting for receiving 1st Place in the Daughters of the American Revolution Essay Contest. He was recognized for the award at the Arkansas Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in April. He also earned 3rd Place in the South Central Division that includes competitors from six states. Congratulations Charlie! #BadgerPride

Peake Specialists were nominated for a May Badger Pride Award by Principal Mary Snowden. Each month the team selected and recognized Peake students who exemplified the Capturing Kids’ Hearts Word of the Month. Thank you Peake Specialists for helping embody the tenets of CKH; for motivating students; and for contributing to Peake’s success in becoming a CKH National Showcase School! Georgia Neal was recognized with a Badger Pride Award during the May School Board meeting. Georgia won the Clark County 4th-8th Grade Spelling Bee. She finished in the top half of all competitors in the Arkansas Spelling Bee. Georgia just completed the fourth grade at Peake Elementary School. We are so proud of you Georgia. Perritt Primary School 2nd Grade Student Finley Denton was recognized in the May School Board Meeting with a Badger Pride Award. She was nominated by her teacher, Candace Williams, who shares that Finley is a help to all students. She has a sweet demeanor and a calmness that makes others feel seen and loved. She takes the time to make sure her classmates understand assignments and assist them if they need it. Finley has a heart of gold that shows in all she does. Mrs. Williams states that Finley has made her year as a teacher more manageable by consistently helping others on any given day; she makes the world a better place. Keep shining Finley! #BadgerPride

2023-24 Arkadelphia Public Schools New Teachers got a visit from Superintendent Nikki Thomas and Director of Curriculum and Instruction Jeanette Turner at the end of the year. They received a Survivor Gift Bag filled with treats. We are grateful they will be returning to the Tribe next school year. Thanks for all you do for our schools! #BadgerPride
