Happy National Principals Month to Cheryl Merk, Principal of Goza Middle School! Mrs. Merk has worked in education for 31 years and she moved to Arkadelphia 11 years ago. Two interesting facts about her: 1.  She has her pilot's license. 2. She rode a mule down 1,700 feet of the world's highest sea cliffs (recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records) to tour Hawaii's leprosy colony Kalaupapa on the island of Molokai, which is now a National park. Thank you, Mrs. Merk, for your service to our students! We are privileged to have you in the Arkadelphia School District!

The game between the Arkadelphia Badgers and the Fountain Lake Cobras on October 9 has been canceled due to COVID-19. The game will be ruled a "no contest".
