Arkadelphia High School Math Teacher Stefanie Davis recently provided professional development on Capturing Kids’ Hearts for the OBU Huckabee School of Education Middle School and Secondary Methods and Classroom Management class! Mrs. Davis emphasized the impact CKH has made for her and her students, especially the Social Anxiety Theory as schools navigate through a pandemic. More good news for Stefanie-she had a Donors Choose project fully funded in just a few days allowing her to purchase new classroom content for computer science next year.
Arkadelphia High School Teacher Ashley Wesley was recognized at the 2022 Arkansas FBLA Leadership Conference for 15 years of service as an FBLA Advisor. Mrs. Wesley sponsors the Black History Month Committee which hosts Black History Month events at AHS. The committee visited the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis last Friday. Good luck to the Boys and Girls Badger Track and Field Team as they travel to Harrison today for the 4A State Track Meet. Last week, the girls finished in 3rd Place and boys in 4th Place at the 4A-7 District Meet. A combined 13 state qualifiers will compete in today's events.

Mrs. Robin Jones' AHS FACS & Life Span Development classes are in the process of becoming certified in Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the Red Cross. There are 105 students who have completed the online course and are working on the skills portion. Great job students!
AHS Senior Colin Phillips was recognized at Tuesday's Board of Education Meeting for being named a Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to Colin on this outstanding achievement!
