Dear Staff, Students, Parents, and Community Members, As you may already know, Arkadelphia School District and all other schools in the state have been directed, by Governor Asa Hutchinson, to be closed through April 17th, and continue with AMI days. We understand that this has a significant impact on all families as well as the community. In these unprecedented times, we must remain committed to the safety and well-being of all we serve. Since the initial closing of school, our maintenance and custodial staff have been hard at work sanitizing and cleaning all surfaces. The Child Nutrition staff has worked to ensure that students were continuing to be fed. Our office staff as well as all administrators have been working to ensure everyone’s needs are being met. The teachers, counselors, technology department and other staff members have been great at ensuring that students are still learning, and their needs are being met. We will continue to remain committed to serving district needs as they arise. While school may look different than it has in the past, we will adapt and get through this process together. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding. In the times ahead, directives and guidance may change concerning people being on-site and how we do business as a district. We will follow the guidance from state and federal officials to ensure the safety of all involved. Please know that you can contact staff members via email during this time. Thank you to the Arkadelphia community for the outpouring of support through schools, various organizations, businesses and churches in our community. It makes me proud to be a Badger! We appreciate all of your patience and understanding as we get through this together. We look forward to seeing you on April 20, 2020. Sincerely, Dr. Karla Neathery Superintendent Arkadelphia School District
