Last week marked the final Pizza with Police event of the year at Peake! 🍕🎉 Congratulations to all of our May Students of the Month! A huge thank you to: Patterson Federal Credit Union for providing the pizza; Dr. Jeanette Turner for the paper goods; and Southern Bancorp for donating water bottles for each month this year. We’re especially grateful to Peake SRO Jimmy Shearin for planning these events and to the Arkadelphia Police Department for taking the time to celebrate with our students. #BadgerPride

Here is what’s happening this week in the Arkadelphia School District. This is the last FULL week of school, the last day of school is May 21st. We have choir concerts, athletic and academic banquets, and end the week with the Class of 2025 graduation ceremony. Good luck to Badger Baseball in the 4A State Tournament. Congratulations to AHS Senior and FCA Leader Sydney Covington for being named the Soldiers of Service 2025 Volunteer of the Year. Sydney helped lead FCA to raise $1000 to donate to the SOS Cancer Awareness Walkathon tomorrow. The Walkathon begins at 9:45a.m. at Badger Stadium tomorrow. Esther Copeland and Lucas Fellers, students at Peake Elementary, received a Badger Pride Award for this month. They were nominated by Ms. Cotton. Both were recognized as winners in a writing contest around women's history. The contest allowed elementary students to showcase their writing skills and historical knowledge at a statewide level. More than 100 submissions from 4th graders throughout the state, Lucas places 2nd and Esther placed 3rd. Congratulations on a job well done! #BadgerPride
