Badger Senior James Elgas was recognized at the recent school board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. This season, James surpassed the milestone of scoring 1000 career points, finishing with a total of 1,362 points. His career statistics include 553 rebounds and 505 assists. This year, he averaged 17.5 points, 6 assists, and 7 rebounds per game. James ranks 5th in Arkansas Sports History in career assists. James was also named to the All-State and All-Star Basketball teams. Thank you, James, for your contribution to Badger Basketball and the Arkadelphia School District. Senior Lady Badger Tyriauna “TeTe” Tate was recognized at Tuesday evening’s school board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. Long Arkadelphia Band brag! Help us celebrate some of the accomplishments of the Arkadelphia Bands this spring! Congratulations to the Arkadelphia High School Band for earning the 2024-2025 Sweepstakes Award with all Superior ratings in Marching Band, Concert Band, and Sightreading! The band qualified for the 2025 ASBOA State Concert Assessment. Congratulations to the Goza Middle School Intermediate and Advanced Bands for earning Superior ratings on the stage and sightreading at the ASBOA Region II Concert Assessment! This afternoon, the high school band will host Spring Fling for 8th-11th grade students. The 2025 Marching Band show theme will be announced. There is a parent meeting in the cafeteria at 6:30p.m. The AHS Winter Guard competed over the weekend in their first-ever WGI Regional scoring a 75.16 receiving 4th in their round. Everyone has an opportunity to see the award-winning performance of the AHS and Goza Winter Guard on Thursday evening at 7:00p.m. in the AHS Gym. Both teams will compete on Friday at the AMAA Winter Guard State Championship at Lake Hamilton High School. So proud of our Arkadelphia Band Program! #BadgerPride

The AHS ​​JROTC held their annual Cadet Military Ball on March 7th at The Barn at Richwoods. It was hosted by the Battalion Commander Georgia Stockton and the Battalion Staff. The guest speaker was Ms. Earnestine Hatley, who is a retired Army veteran. Ms. Hatley has worked with several community programs in Clark County and is the President of the Clark County Branch of the NAACP. #BadgerPride
