Perritt Primary's Volunteer Tea Thursday celebrated those individuals who freely give their time and talents to make school a happy place to learn! We appreciate all our family and community volunteers! #volunteerweek2022

Earlier this month, the APS Board of Education approved the 2022-23 district calendar. Wednesday, August 17, 2022, will be the first school day of the year. Christmas Break begins on Monday, December 19. Students return on Tuesday, January 3rd for the second semester.

You are invited to a special Night of Champions this Friday at the Arkadelphia Youth Sports Complex during the Badger Baseball Game! This will be a great time to celebrate the accomplishments our youth and cheer on Badger Baseball!

Check out what's happening this week in the Arkadelphia School District. A reminder that the APSD School Board Meeting scheduled for April 19th has been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 26th. Have a great week!

What an amazing celebration of cultures from around the world Thursday at Arkadelphia High School! Thank you to the AHS International Club for your hard work in presenting this opportunity to our students and community.

Ms. Morris' 3rd Grade Class at Peake writes affirmations throughout the week to their classmates. Thursday, the class read the affirmations placed in their envelope & shared some out loud. We love seeing students build each other up through positive statements about their peers!

The weekend has started a little early this week. Friday, April 15th is a Teacher Flex Day. There will be no school tomorrow. Enjoy your Easter Weekend!

Today Mrs. April Grace reviewed fifth graders at Peake Elementary on changes to matter as they prepare for the Science portion of the ACT Aspire exam. Testing begins at Peake on April 25.

Freshmen GT Students held Perritt Day for Second Graders on Tuesday. The AHS students taught at stations that Perritt students rotated through. The activities built teamwork, STEM, and trust skills. Such a fun learning experience!

Thank you to the Theta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the I.C.E. Kings student group who worked together to place plants in the LaDonna G. Williams Educational Garden at Peake Rosenwald over the weekend. We appreciate all your efforts! It looks wonderful!

The Seventh Grade Quiz Bowl Team recently won 2nd Place in the Dawson Quiz Bowl Tournament! Team members (left to right): Nate Newton, Ben Hill, Brylen Hendrix, Henry Harrell, Hayleigh Lynn, Madilyn Almand, Carly Martin, Alice Kneebone, Alaina Metcalf. Great job students!

This week: NO SCHOOL on Friday, April 15-Teacher Flex Day/Good Friday. The 1st Grade Music Program will be posted on Perritt's Facebook page Tuesday, April 12. We will keep you posted on any changes to the athletic schedule this week. It looks like some rain in the forecast.

It was a great Day 1 for 2022-23 APSD Kindergarten Registration at Perritt Primary! Registration continues tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Perritt Gymnasium. We love meeting our Future Badgers!

Badger Basketball was honored at the March APSD Board Meeting. They finished 25-5 overall; 13-1 in conference. They are Conf. Co-Champs, District Runner-up, Pea Ridge & Fordyce Tourney Champs, & played in the Regional & State Tourney. Coach Williams is 7-4A Coach of the Year!

The Arkadelphia High School Badger Basketball Team was recognized at the March School Board Meeting. The team finished with a 25-5 record for the season and 13-1 in conference! The team held a 21-game winning streak in the season; 4A-7 Season Co-Champs; 4A-7 District Runner-up; Pea Ridge and Fordyce Tournament Champions; and qualified for the 4A Regional and State Tournament. Head Coach Donald Williams was named 7-4A Coach of the Year! Congratulations to Coach Williams, Coach Garrett Garner, and the entire team on a great season!
