AHS Virtual Student Ethan Green was recognized as the Virtual Arkansas December Student of the Month. Virtual Arkansas serves over 50,000 students across the state of Arkansas. Ethan was recognized at the January School Board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. Great work Ethan!

Thursday, Feb. 17 is Parent Teacher Conferences from 2pm-7pm. No school for students on Thursday(PTC), Friday(Teacher Flex Day), & Monday(President's Day); February 17 - 21. Arkadelphia will host the 4A-7 District Sr. High Basketball Tournament Feb. 14-19. Let's go Badgers!

Dr. Jeff Root was recognized with a Badger Pride Award for his dedication to bringing us Badger football on Friday nights. Dr. Root has been a part of the broadcast team for 34 years. He first joined the radio booth with Rex Nelson in 1984. He took a few years off for graduate school and has continued faithfully since then. The broadcast now includes the video production as well as radio. We appreciate Dr. Root and his support of the Badgers!

Today was a Perritt Primary School Staff Appreciation Luncheon! This month Patterson Federal Credit Union is sponsoring a lunch for all our Arkadelphia Public School Staff. Thank you Nicole McGough & Patterson for treating our staff and letting them know they are appreciated!

We are pleased to announce during CTE Month that the Arkadelphia School District received an Arkansas Career and Technical Education State Start-up Grant to assist with the development of our Business Finance Program of Study on the campus of Arkadelphia High School. #CTE

Good luck to our Junior High Lady Badger and Badger Basketball Teams tonight in the 4A-7 Jr. High District Championship Games! The start time is 6:30 p.m. for the girls' game at Fountain Lake High School; the boys' game will follow. Come support our Jr. High Badgers!

February is CTE Month and we highlight our CTE Programs. Career and Technology Education courses are offered on campus at Goza Middle School and Arkadelphia High School. Students also have the opportunity to enroll in CTE Programs through our ASU Three Rivers partnership. #CTE

Thank you to the Dawson Education Service Cooperative for celebrating and supporting our educators in their first year of teaching! We are so happy to have them in the Arkadelphia School District!

As part of School Board Recognition Month, the members of the Arkadelphia Board of Education received a caricature of themselves designed by AHS Student Mtende Moyo. They also received a tumbler from Goza Middle School designed by Mrs. Christy Smith. We appreciate our board!

The Arkadelphia Public School District will be onsite for instruction on Friday, February 4. All campuses and offices will be open. Buses will run their normal routes. Please be safe and dress warm.

District COVID-19 Update: Governor Asa Hutchinson announced in his press conference on Tuesday, February 1 that schools should follow new quarantine guidelines in order to balance the education and physical well-being of schools.  Beginning tomorrow, February 3, contact tracing and quarantine of students will not be in effect.  Any student who is currently quarantined has the option to stay home until his or her assigned return date or come back onsite beginning tomorrow.  Any student or staff member who tests positive must report his or her’s positive results to the district Point of Contact.  A positive case requires that the individual isolate for at least five days.  For questions concerning this new procedure, please email beth.hasley@arkadelphiaschools.org

Congratulations to the AHS FBLA Students on their performance at the District IV Competition Wednesday in Hope. Twenty-two students placed in the Top 6 of their events with nine students receiving first place. Congratulations to the students and Advisor Mrs. Ashley Wesley.

APSD Virtual Student Zuriel Reed-Bradford is the Dawson Virtual Program December 4th Grade Student of the Month. She was recognized at the Dec. Board Meeting of the Dawson Education Service Coop, Jan. APSD Board Meeting, and All A's Honor Roll for Arkadelphia Public Schools.

Arkadelphia School District Virtual Student Shelby Harris was named 1st Grade Student of the Month by the Dawson Virtual Program for December. She was recognized at the December Board Meeting for the Dawson Education Service Cooperative and the January Board Meeting for APSD.
