This semester, AHS FBLA hosted a series entitled Voices of Leadership. During this three-part series, former FBLA members returned to campus for intimate interviews with the chapter, providing insight into what they do now and how FBLA helped shape their paths. Real connections were created, and we love when our students are able to connect their learning to their future.
A few weeks ago, during the final Voices of Leadership session, FBLA welcomed Caroline Derby of KARK 4 News. During that visit, senior Kalyn Garrett made a meaningful connection.
Last Thursday, that connection came full circle as Kalyn was invited to shadow Caroline and get a behind-the-scenes look at broadcast journalism in action. With plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in communications, this was a powerful opportunity to get a close-up glimpse into her future career. She also got to make an appearance on Caroline’s RECAP podcast for KARK Ch. 4 at https://youtu.be/uVP0A5YBM5o?si=qMivRItJyhBjvgtv
Experiences like this highlight the importance of connecting classroom learning to real-world opportunities.

The Heartbeat of Our Badger Family 💙 Today is Administrative Professionals Day, and we are pausing to say a big THANK YOU.
They are the first faces you see when you walk into our schools and the first voices you hear on the phone. From managing complex schedules to supporting our students and staff behind the scenes, these professionals do more than we can imagine.
We appreciate you today and every day!
