Today is International Literacy Day. This year's focus is “Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces.” Let this be an opportunity to reevaluate the fundamental importance of literate learning environments. We encourage you to take action in promoting literacy in our community.



Perritt Primary School starts the day with the Morning Show Perritt USA! The show is hosted by a different set of students each week with the help of Mrs. Kaila Murphy, Perritt Media Specialist. The broadcast is live each morning on Perritt's Facebook page. They do a great job!


Teachers in the district have started the school year off by collaborating with their students to create social contracts. Social contracts are a part of the Capturing Kids' Hearts Processes that promote a healthy, safe, and team atmosphere in the classroom. #CKH


On this Labor Day, we say a special thank you to our Arkadelphia Public School District Employees for all the efforts you put into educating our students each day. You are the best! Have a safe and relaxing time off!

We hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. There will be NO school tomorrow in observance of Labor Day. NWEA tests begin on Tuesday for Peake and on Wednesday for Perritt 1st Grade. Both schools have special events Friday to honor Grandparents' Day! Have a great week!



Badger Cross Country competed Saturday morning in the OBU Bob Gravett Invitational. Lady Badger Emelia Eriksson placed third in a field of more than 115 runners with a personal best time of 19:18 in the 5K. The girls team finished in fifth place overall. Great job Cross Country!



Congratulations to Badger Football on our exciting, last second win over Hot Springs 29-28! We are so proud of ALL our programs that performed tonight. A BIG thank you to Henderson State University for the use of their stadium!

We are wearing our Badger colors today! It's been a great week for Badger Athletics. We are ready to cheer on the football team tonight at HSU Carpenter-Haygood Stadium as they take on Hot Springs. Good luck Saturday to the Cross Country team in the OBU Bob Gravett Invitational!


Arkadelphia Public Schools are looking for an Assistant Band Director. Once a Badger Always a Badger!!!

Parents/Guardians, we ask that you still call or email all COVID cases to our Point-of-Contact, Beth Hasley, so attendance is properly documented. This also helps us assist your child in keeping up with his/her work.
We are following CDC guidelines on COVID isolation. The first day of symptoms is Day Zero, followed by 5 days of isolation. A student may return on Day 6 based on symptoms. Quarantine due to exposure only needs to happen if a person is exhibiting symptoms.

AHS JROTC presented colors Saturday evening at the Arkansas Travelers Game at Dickey Stephens Park in Little Rock Thank you to Cadets Camryn Allison, Cooper Stephenson, Tristan Smith, and Destiny Malagon for representing their program, school, and community! You did outstanding!




Good luck to Badger Football tonight as they travel to Camden to take on the Cardinals. Special thanks to Southwest Auto Collection for providing a truck to get the Badger trailer to the game. We appreciate the Hamburger Barn for providing the team meal and the Badger Moms for serving it up before the team hits the road!
We are thankful for the support of our parents and community!




Sam Elbe is the new Chartwells' Director of Dining Services for Arkadelphia Public Schools this school year. Chartwells provides food service for our students at each of the campuses. We look forward to working with Sam!

Phyllis Deloach has returned to Arkadelphia High School this year to once again be a paraprofessional in Special Education. Ms. Deloach returns to the AHS Staff after spending a year in retirement. We're glad you are back, Ms. Deloach!

The Arkadelphia School District welcomes Ashley Reed as a new kindergarten teacher this year at Perritt Primary School. Ms. Reed comes to us from Hot Springs with over 12 years of experience in education. Welcome to Arkadelphia, Ashley!

Badger Care Student Services is now available through the Arkadelphia Public School Nursing Staff and is designed to help meet the personal hygiene needs of all students. The main focus of offering Badger Care Student Services is to ensure that all students have access to laundry facilities.
We would like to thank the Rotary Club for their donation of a washer, dryer, detergent, and hygiene products to Badger Care for our students. The Rotary Club also donated $600 to start a Badger Care Student Services account at Patterson Federal Credit Union where individuals and organizations can donate.

Arkadelphia School District welcomes back Chris Kizer to the Badger Football Coaching Staff. Coach Kizer will also be teaching at Arkadelphia High School. We will see Coach back on the sidelines this Friday night as the Badgers open the regular season at Camden Fairview.
