A fundraiser is being held for the Arkadelphia Badger 4A State Football Champions on Saturday, January 18th at the Arkadelphia Rec Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. to view silent auction items; the program will start at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the purchase of championship rings. A meal will be provided by Pastor Greg Latham. Goza Fifth Grader Harper Watson was recognized in the December Arkadelphia School Board meeting with a Badger Pride Award. She was nominated by her Reading Teacher Adason Thornton. Mrs. Thornton states that Harper always shows kindness to others by helping them when needed. Harper's positivity comes through with her infectious smile and kind words impacting others and the learning environment.

Thursday, December 12th, Peake 4th graders presented the musical “How To Train Your Reindeer to Fly.” The school also cheered on the Badgers as they were heading off to their practice at War Memorial Stadium. It’s always a great day to be a Badger!

The Arkadelphia Public Schools Transportation Department had a delicious Christmas Appreciation Lunch in the Bus Shop before the Break began. Thank you to each and every one of these employees who prepare and drive our buses to get students to school each day!

We appreciate Taylor King Law, P.A. for providing a Fat Boys Gift Card and a Taylor King Law Yeti Mug for a Christmas giveaway at each of our campuses this week. Employees completed a survey of some of their favorite Christmas things to be entered into a random drawing. The winners were super excited to receive their prize on Wednesday just before the holiday break.

Peake Staff had a Christmas Spirit Day on Tuesday, "Anything But a Cup." They really got creative to bring their drink (coffee, soda, water, tea, juice) in a container other than a cup!

It was a close competition but the results are in for today's Ugly (kind of cute) Christmas Sweater Competition. The winners are Ms. Hurst, Peake; Mr. Ankton, Goza; Ms. Dixon, AHS; and Rendi Currey, District. Thank you to Veolia for the swag gift bag for the winners!

We are so excited to cheer on the Badgers tomorrow in the 4A Championship Game in Little Rock. We want to once again remind everyone of the expectations regarding entrance into War Memorial Stadium.
Stadium Security - Events at War Memorial Stadium:

A clear-bag policy is enforced (see graphic)
Metal detectors and/or security wands are at all entrances
Concealed carry is prohibited even with a permit (see the full list of prohibited items below)

Loitering in the concourse is prohibited
Arrive early to avoid congestion at entry. Parking is $5 at the Stadium.
Home Team, enter through Gate 7 - Gates Open at 10:30 a.m.
Have your ticket ready to be scanned upon entrance. You can purchase tickets at https://gofan.co/app/school/AAA
Report any suspicious conduct to onsite law enforcement
War Memorial Stadium Approved Bags
Clear Bag FAQ:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” or one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). Individuals may also carry any small clutch purses meeting the following size requirements, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap. All clear bags and clutch purses will be screened prior to entry into the venue. All bags and purses not meeting the above requirements will not be permitted. Individuals carrying required medical supplies or devices into the venue are not subject to the clear bag policy but will need to go through the bag check line at their entry gate for a thorough screening of the bag and the medical items (Diaper bags/childcare items included). The person requiring these supplies or devices must accompany the bag at all times. Medical exception bags will be tagged once cleared through security.
